Southern Moose

This Moose is the smaller of the two species of Moose but non the less a staple of the diet of people south of the great spine they live in the region north of the fallow river

Biological Traits

adults weigh in at 1500lbs on average but some can be as large as 1900lbs with no notable size difference between females and males

when born a new-born will weigh in roughly 30-35lbs and rapidly grow to be 300lbs by the first 5 months

reaching 1000lbs by sexual maturity at 36 month old

Ecology and Habitats

The Southern Moose lives in grassy wetlands where it feeds on both fresh water aquatic plants and tall grasses growing in the floodplains around the area

while these moose feed in the wetlands they will travel to higher areas of the grassland to rest for the night and raise their young

Domestication

these moose are almost impossible to domesticate despite being the smaller they are still large and with stout antlers they have year round after they start growing when they hit puberty keeping them penned in is difficult and entering a confined area with them is not advised
