Northern Moose
This Moose is the larger of the two species of Moose and a staple of the diet of people North of the great spine they live in the region north Graffen river and the North west of the great spine
Basic Information
Biological Traits
adults weigh in at 1700lbs on average but some can be as large as 2200lbs with a notable size difference between females and males where the males are on average the larger usually being 1900lbs on average and some being found at 2300lbs
when born a new-born will weigh in roughly 45lbs and rapidly grow to be 500lbs by the first 5 months
reaching 1500lbs by sexual maturity at 36 month old
Ecology and Habitats
The Northern Moose lives in heavily forested areas where it feeds on fresh water aquatic vegetation and fish from the water and consuming fallen nuts of the ground as well as being able to digest woody plant matter a trait that makes them unique to their southern cousins
these moose will take rest almost anywhere but will look for shelter where the winds are not as harsh for birthing their young

woody plant matter(made possible by their consumption of mycelium from the ground in the autumn given them the needed gut ecology to bread down the wood)

Domestication
these moose are almost impossible to domesticate being the larger with stout heavy antlers which are used for battering they have these year round after they start growing when they hit puberty keeping them penned in is difficult and entering a confined area with them is not advised
