Department of Diabolical Performing Arts and Infernal War Machine License Renewals
The Department of Diabolical Performing Arts and Infernal War Machine License Renewals is a massive red metal structure with enormous spikes protruding from the sides and fiery flames blasting out of the roof into the sky. The line outside of this building is composed of 10,000 lemures patiently waiting to go inside.
The inside of the Department of Diabolical Performing Arts and Infernal War Machine License Renewalsis a cathedral of bureaucracy. Imps violently fill out endless forms as a profusely sweating, scowling fiend behind a massive desk shouts across the large room, “Customer one trillion forty-five, please step right up, I haven’t got all day!” At the foot of the desk is a sleeping three-headed hell hound, and sitting on the wall behind the fiend is a massive three-eyed pit fiend.
The fiend is in a hurry and wants to process the character’s and Mordakai’s permits quickly. What the character needs is a “rock-off permit.” The fiend provides the following information to the character to get a rock-off permit:
• A rock-off permit allows the bearer to challenge anyone in Avernus to a rock-off.
• Someone who requests a rock-off permit must submit a hair follicle, their shoe size, their eye color, and wait 120 days for a background check. The background check is waived if the requester submits a single drop of blood.
The pit fiend calls themself “Dee-O the All-Seeing.” Dee-O used to be the Manager of the Department of Diabolical Performing Arts and Infernal War Machine License Renewals until they were swindled by the cambion during an infernal contract negotiation, forever making Dee-O the Assistant to the Manager of the Department of Diabolical Performing Arts and Infernal War Machine License Renewals.
Dee-O’s hatred for the cambion is endless— watching them be killed is the final part of Dee-O’s intricate plan for revenge! Dee-O offers the character.
While the character speaks with the cambion, the three-eyed pit fiend communicates with the character telepathically and offers them an infernal contract. Orianna and Mordakai are more than happy to help the character sign and fulfill the infernal contract—they love seeing mortals enter into such great deals!
