Duchy of Westwatch

The Duchy of Westwatch, ruled by House Blackfire, is one of several duchies within the Kingdom of Nyrond. Bestowed upon House Blackfire for services rendered in the neverending battles against the Great Kingdom to the east, Duke Blackfire makes claim to much of the western border, including the lands along the Neser River to the northern reaches of the Gnatmarsh, east along the Gnatmarsh to the Duntide River, and then claims borders extending between the major bends of the Duntide and Franz Rivers.
  This territory encompasses all of the Barony of Woodwych, and all of the Celadon Forest within the borders of Nyrond.
  There have been several violent clashes between the armies of Duke Blackfire and the Elves of the Celadon over the use of the forest in general and the logging and lumber camps specifically. The elves are up in arms over the use of the forest by the Duke.
