Phileiceous God King of the Giants (Fi-lay-see-us)

Phileiceous was a runt of a Demon who was struck in the head by a falling rock when the Hooved One and Ulti were in the midst of battle. He climbed up into the light and fell asleep on the seashore. While he slept, he dreamed. The rock that was lodged in his skull lit up with these dreams and it began to break apart. The chunks fell to the sand buzzing with godly energy. They slowly hatched into craggy figures, the future race of giants. Phileiceous awoke to the sound of a smith's hammer. Found himself surrounded by his children. He followed the sounds of the hammer and found himself at the base of Mt. Weyas. A falling chunk of granite trumbling down the mountain. With the memory of his previous injury, Phileiceous reached up and caught the rock. He inspected it, finding that it was half carved. His liked it, so he sat and carved it with his fingernails into a squat rotund humanoid, but it felt wrong. Phileiceous sat and thought, picking at the remains of the rock lodged in his head. A piece of geode slick with his god's blood came free. Phileiceous placed the nugget in the figure and it came alive. It clearly struggled and his children cared for it. Phileiceous tried to add more geodes to the figure, but it's weak nature caused it to split and reform into several dimwitted beings. Phileiceous grew tired from loss of blood and settled into a nearby valley to sleep.

Summary

This is the creation myth of the Giants and their myth of how Dwarves were made.

Variations & Mutation

In Dwarven myth, Aerdiret the God-Smith of storms and earthquakes from his workshop atop Mt. Weyas forged the Dwarves. Aerdiret did toss a chunk of granite off the summit, but Phileiceous did not catch it and instead ran in fear of it. Phileiceous spied on Aerdiret in curiosity. While Aerdiret slept, Phileiceous snuck in and stole the Dwarves from the forge.
