Ballasett
Ballasett is the capital city of House Sturm territories. It is located within the region of Ballasett.
Ballasett is a rocky, jagged and mismatched city. It has the slimmest access to ocean water on its South East side, however on its Northern sides, it is flanked by small volcanos that erupt every few years. Because of this, the city is teeming with pools of lava and makes the city incredibly hot. To combat this, the citizens of Ballasett have inhabited the ground beneath the city, however the temperature is still extremely warm.
The city is known for its smelting and smithing businesses. Many warriors, knights, guards and the rich have sought to buy Ballasett 'Ballista'; weaponry and ammunition made of fire, lava and extremely well crafted materials forged in fire have kept the city running throughout the years.
Nearby villages are Brates, Faraplatt, and Cordion. The nearest significant town to Ballasett is to the East: Grandsetter.
Demographics
Due to the roaring trade of weaponry and the city's military focus, there are very few without jobs. Those not producing weaponry are either miners, blacksmiths, or working in the formidable city guard: The Black Setts. The distribution of wealth is fairly even.
Ballasett does not have a varied demographic of inhabitants. Due to the specific trades and economy, many tieflings marry the same race in the hope that they will have successful tiefling offspring to carry on the family business, some of which have been operating for decades. There are no specific restrictions or laws governing against the immigration of any other races, it is just usually not in the best interests of the citizens of Ballasett or those potential immigrants.
