Order of Saint Elarion

The Order of Saint Elarion is a holy martial order under the direct jurisdiction of the Church of Selûne. Its members are sworn to defend travelers, sailors, and the defenseless during the night hours, when shadows and dangers are most potent. They wear silver-and-blue tabards with a crescent moon emblem and are trained both as warriors and as spiritual guardians.

The order is comparatively small but highly respected among Selûne’s faithful. They maintain watchtowers, beacon fires, and fortified shrines in dangerous borderlands or along trade routes, where the moon’s light is seen as the only hope against darkness.

Public Agenda

Mission

The Order’s threefold mission is:

  1. Ward the Night – Protect travelers, pilgrims, and sailors under the moonlight from predators, monsters, and servants of Shar.
  2. Keep the Flame – Maintain sacred moonshrines, beacons, and waystations along remote or perilous routes, ensuring Selûne’s light never falters.
  3. Guide the Lost – Aid those who are astray, whether physically, spiritually, or morally, returning them to safety and Selûne’s embrace.

Members of the Order often act as escorts, lighthouse keepers, or defenders of isolated villages. In times of war, they form a disciplined vanguard, their silvered blades gleaming in moonlight.
