Runner

A blanket term given to those who attempt to make their own way in the world, often by taking on odd jobs in an unofficial capacity. Added risk so that one need not deal with the depredations of boardrooms and the deadly traps laced between the words of a contract. Well, the second half of that sentiment is debatable. Sometimes it's simply deadly traps that a Runner must contend with.
