Battle of Eden

Although there was some planning from the Angels, once the Son arrived any pretence of a proper defence collapsed. In the initial formation, two hundred thousand Seraphim were stationed in a great circle around the wall, hovering in the air. They were chanting a incantation that would create a barrier around Eden, the other two hundred thousand Seraphim were spread through the walls, waiting for the Son and his armies.   The remaining hundred thousand Cherubim were inside the city, they were an ambush, if the wall fell, then the Seraphim would lead the armies of the Son into the city, where they would be destoryed by Cherubim that hide within the buildings.

The battlefield was mostly just hard rock, multiple spires of a white powdery were stuck into the ground. Created by Cherubim these would glow bright red whenever a creation of the Son came within four miles of it. The flat surface made it so that there was no advantage when on the ground.   Once the battle started every descended into madness, the immense power of both sides tore the land to bits, a great scar was embedded into the land, which was later called the Doomfire Gorge, the city itself was almost destroyed, the majority of the lower city was reduced to rubble.

Defense of the Walls

  The battle began with the Son's Higher Creations pummleing the barrier, there barrier held through the barrage, and with it standing there was no way to attack the Angels from range. With no other choice, the Son ordered the lower creations to assault the wall. It was inetense fighting, the two hundred thousand Seraphim on the wall were extremely powerful, however the wave ravenous creatures overwhelmed them. Although it was with heavy losses the lower all fell and the Various Creations spilled into the city.   The Empire generals ordered the Wraths to push into the city while the Greeds securred the walls. Shock battalions of Warth Deamons jutted deep into the lower city, taking out the small groups of Angels stationed in the second defensive line. By the time the remaining Seraphim had regrouped in the inner city Greed Deamons were already linning up on the outskirts. Confident in their numerical advantage the Deamons assualted the center of Eden.  

Battle in the City

  The Deamons rushed into the inner city and many of the Seraphim that held the barrier were attacked, the disruption broke many of the redundant seals in the barrier. The Higher creations moved quickly to destroy they now weakened shield, but were caught by the retreating Seraphim. In their zeal they had broken rank and the Higher Creations were mostly destroyed. However the lower creations still cutting through Angelic lines, but without support the Cherubim were confident to descend into the streets. After bloody street to street fighting, the lower creations were utterly annihilated and the Son's armies were forced into a retreat.   The battle was over but there was heavy losses on both sides, but the Angels had won the day.

The defeat at Eden caused a great celebration by the Angelic beings, they thought this would be the last battle, with such a great defeat the Son's ability to stage an effective offensive against the Angel held lands disipated. He would need time to rebuild after the loss of so many creations. However the Angels had lost much of their combat sects and were incapeable of a counteroffensive. Leaving the war in and akward stalemate.

Smaller raids started to be conducted against the experiment centers along the mountains, the Son stayed away from large groups of Angels. The result was the end of the Son's grand armies, at least for now.
