The Myrrowen

The southernmost of two rivers which converge into the Serpentine River, The Myrrowen is not as frequented by its northern sister, serving more as a route of pilgrimage or clandestine passage.

It's frequented by wood elves, herbalists, and mystics.

Scattered along the river are sacred elven groves, beast-haunted glades

The terrain surrounding the river is still rugged, only partially cleared, and is rumored to be the home of fae crossings, rogue treants, and those running from the law as many refuse to enter the Southwoods due to the danger that lies within.

Common nicknames include The Greenflow and Whisperwater.

The name is derived from myrrh (sacred resin) and rowen (an old term for boundary tree).
