Rodrigo
Rodrigo was born in Badavarre, a port town in the Drakon Kingdom. He was abandoned at birth and sailors took him in and raised him as their own, teaching him their trade. In his adolescence, Rodrigo was already a competent sailor and worked with merchants and fisherman. Before long, he was introduced into pirate and thief culture while working with a merchant ship that bought from pirates.
After leaving home and working full time, Rodrigo was navigating a merchant ship and raided by the ___ pirates for not paying a due. The captain was murdered but the pirates spared Rodrigo and took him into their crew instead.
Years pass and Rodrigo is an important part of their crew. His responsibilities grew, and with it, his notoriety. The crew members accepted him and put their trust in him. The captain noticed, grew jealous, and devised a plan.
A big raid is upon the pirate crew. They have been tracking a convoy of merchant ships for nearly a month. They are heading for the Free City of Vandil, and the pirates intercept them, destroying multiple defensive ships and boarding the cargo vessels. During the battle, the pirate captain betrayed Rodrigo by stabbing him in the back and casting him off the ship.
Being amphibious, Rodrigo floated in the rubble of the attack and drifted three days to shore. At this moment he was determined to do whatever it takes to destroy his assailant.
