Nyngard (Strait Island)

NYNGARD Technically an Olvitran territory, Nyngard's sovereignty fell into doubt after the ascendance of the tyrant King Bagnarath. It seemed the new regent cared not for any of the outer territories administered by the previous king who reigned in Vutetria, and so Farveld stepped in as steward, at the request of the Nyngardian people. A small island just over ten miles wide east to west, its main industries are fishing, winemaking and traditional woodcarving. Its culture is said to be pagan, and similarities can be seen here in some of the ancient songs which seem to be versions of Starkvaldian and Harrbyorgian equivalents. But some of the ancient, mysterious culture of the Thrombyorg peoples lingers here also, posing a quandary to historians.
