Haran (Island)

Huran is a small island in the Gulf of Sveipa. Traditionally it was home to a small population of pagan humans. They are currently recovering from the decimation of their population. An outlying island, Huran currently has a population of just over 100 people. There is a volcano in the centre of the island where Emberlord Xarafax made his lair, unbenownst to the rest of the world. From here he mounted the campaign that would form the catalyst for the Grim Epoch. Emberlord Xarafax has since been banished from this plane and is believed to be currently roaming in search of new powers and allies. The main town is Windwater. Their population completely disappeared some twenty years ago when Xarafax basically used them all as vessels to summon his Emberlings. Now it is a largely empty but recovering settlement with many empty buildings. Many Riftgates (dimensional tears) exist here, although they have not yet been thoroughly addressed and tamed by the Farveld Order of Imperial Artificers. Huran is officially Farveldian territory and is administered from the city of Helznor, although visits are rare. In the past it has been largely ignored. Recent world events have attracted a lot more attention.
