Felbrodir

The great heimfolk stronghold of Felbrodir is one of a triumvirate of settlements in the southern Farveld, alongside Viorheim and Dvergashtol. It sits at the base of a huge mountain range.
The great keep of Dhegdhuum is the central part of this, and sits up on the mountain. Below the keep are farmlands, and on the gently rolling terrain in the foothills of the mountain is Eslaheim. The whole area, the keep and temples / buildings around it, as well as the village and the whole terrain is known as Felbrodir. Felbrodir is also the name of the mountain on which the keep sits, and the word means "Mountain Brother" in heimfolk. Sometimes the mountain is also referred to as "Father Mountain" or "Grandfather Mountain."

DHEGDHUUM

The great keep of Felbrodir, presided over by the lord of the keep Hjoldahr Gaeshlum. The Gaeshlum (Stronghold-keeper) line have been lords of Dhegdhuum keep for milennia. Hjoldahr also has a twin brother, Skoldahr, who is a little envious of him.
Dhegdhuum is surrounded by temples to Esla, Orrosi, Isneldi, Higrihr and all the other major heimfolk gods. These are staffed by elder clerics who man the worship there. The people of Eslaheim and from all of Felbrodir (which is a huge area) are invited there on festival days for celebrations. There are also barracks for the Dhegdhuum guards, an immense smithy and forges, a guild of mages, huge libraries and many other fascinating and ancient structures.

FELBRODIR MOUNTAINS

The Felbrodir mountain range itself has been mined for millenia, but not Felbrodir itself, as the dwarves do not want it caving in underneath them! They also consider this mountain sacred, seeing it as their Father. "Father Mountain" is a term often used for Felbrodir. There are many disused tunnels, ancient catacombs and dungeons in these mountain, and in many of the other mountains surrounding it.

FELMODUR & FOLBJAARN

The mountain directly to the west of Felbrodir Mountain is named Felmodur and was once part of Felbrodir. A huge underground fortress, thousands of years old, named Folbjaarn is situated in these tunnels, but this has been abandoned because of fears of instability of the mountain.

CADWYN MINES

The Cadwyn clan are a notable family of miners who keep many lucrative mines in the Felbrodir area. Ore from these mines is sold and travels over the realm... artificers in Cylestol are well aware of the virtues of Cadwyn steel, and gems from these mines are known for their value.
Recently, an ancient dungeon was discovered, connected to the mines, through which a hideous aberration known as a mindwitness appeared and enslaved some of the miners. It has been suggested that this particular mine, situated beneath the mountains known as Khazret and Morteratsch, could be connected to the Nameless Depths.
