Disaster / Destruction
The Falling of Stars was a catastrophic war in which aberrations descended from the heavens with impossible magic, echoing an ancient cataclysm Krorone once vowed would never return. In response, the Moonkeeper summoned her Swordbearers—Entagnon, Fenntor, and the narrator—donning the Armor of Stars and mobilizing all of Nocturnis. Their march across Nauquan and into the human lands was marked by relentless battles as they hunted every aberration they encountered, ultimately reaching Faujan, whose people suffered nightly raids from the sand-born horrors. Fenntor remained behind to defend the city as a designated protector of its “witnesses,” earning the title Archblade through legendary feats. The retinue continued to Hacuito, where months of brutal combat finally ended in an abrupt and inexplicable vanishing of all aberrations. Though the war concluded without clarity, the Moonkeeper claimed it had bought Krorone precious time to restore a forgotten balance, leaving the Swordbearers with lingering grief, unanswered questions, and the hope never to witness such divine dread again.
