Bloom Eternal
Bloom Eternal is a signature spell of Queen Lyandria and has become synonymous with her reign over the Seelie Court. The spell’s power lies in its ability to reshape the very fabric of reality, balancing the forces of creation and destruction with a chaotic and unpredictable force. It represents the raw, untamed beauty of the Feywild and the Queen’s ability to harness its chaotic energies to protect the realm. The Bloom Eternal spell is seen as both a blessing and a curse as it is powerful enough to reshape the battlefield and immobilize entire armies, but it also leaves the land and its creatures caught in an eternal cycle that can never truly be escaped without divine intervention.
Effect
You invoke the full chaotic and primal power of the Feywild, twisting the very fabric of reality around you. The area within a 1 mile radius of you becomes an ever-shifting field of radiant, living light. The terrain itself shifts and transforms, filled with blossoms, vines, and trees, as well as ephemeral, glowing pathways. The land pulses with magical energy that reshapes itself as time passes, reflecting the endless cycle of creation and dissolution inherent to the Feywild. This entire area is considered difficult terrain.
At the time of casting, any creature in the area must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, they are entranced by the chaotic magic and trapped within the Bloom Eternal for the duration of the spell and must make all additional saves within it at disadvantage. On a successful save the creature is not entranced and saves will occur normally.
Side/Secondary Effects
At the start of a creature's turn within the bloom, the terrain within the area shifts with walls of radiant flowers, towering trees, and twisting vines. The area becomes a maze of light that disrupts the movement of creatures. Any creature that enters or starts its turn within the area must make a Dexterity saving throw or be restrained by the shifting plants and branches. A restrained creature may use its action to attempt a Strength or Dexterity saving throw (creature's choice) to break free.
At the end the creature's turn if it is still within the bloom, the Bloom Eternal pulses with raw energy, causing the radiant plants to grow and wither at a rapid pace. Each creature in the area must make a Constitution saving throw. On a successful save the creature takes 10d10 radiant damage as the life and death of the plants affects their bodies. A creature that fails its Constitution saving throw is immediately reduced to 0 hit points and trapped in the unending cycle of life, transformed into a radiant flower or tree for the duration of the spell. These creatures do not die—they are suspended in time, caught between creation and dissolution.
At the end of the caster's turn, the chaotic magic of the Feywild continues to shape the land and life itself. All living creatures within the affected area regain 50 hit points, as the energy from the spell nourishes them and fills them with vitality. This effect does not apply to creatures who have already been transformed into flowers or trees.
