In -4977 AR, the heretical cleric known as Kyuss Descimus attempted to ascend to divinity using the Black Wyrmstone of the Void and rituals discovered in the Mwangi Expanse. Central to his plan was the Black Obelisk, intended as a planar portal for apocalyptic soul-harvesting rituals across multiple planes. However, Tynathria, sensing the corruption of her divine artifact, intervened through her High Priests. In a heroic act of self-sacrifice, the priests transformed the obelisk into a prison, trapping Kyuss’s essence and halting his ascension.
