Khellek
The wizard Khellek has been rumoured to be associated with the Aspis Consortium, an untrustworthy organization of corrupt archeologists and adventurers who seek knowledge regardless of the cost. He recently heard a rumour of a new chamber discovered in an allegedly “empty” tomb elsewhere in the Cairn Hills and has maneuvered the Scion Squad to Ravengro to seek out similar riches. Conventional wisdom suggests that all cairns were completely plundered decades ago, but Khellek has never considered himself conventional.
Death
Khellek perished during the final bout of the Champion’s Games in 4735 AR, cut down in the sands of the Arena of Aroden. Though he soared above the battlefield with cunning and arcane might, his flight was broken by a precision spell, and he fell to earth like a dying star. Surrounded by fire and fury, he was overwhelmed by the combined assault of the Ruinlords and slain before the horrified eyes of a city soon to fall. In the end, there was no applause—only ash. The last whisper of his ambition vanished beneath the shadow of the Age of Worms.
