Common Etiquette Rules
Whenever a shifter meets a new person, whether it's another shifter or a member of another race, they usually gift them something, such as a smooth stone they found, the tusk of an animal, a weapon, or a figurine. Usually not money, however, as they believe that using money is not a sincere form of gift giving. In the event that the shifter does not have something to gift, they would apologize to the person and try and find something
Common Dress Code
Shifters tend to wear fur coats and animal pelts.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
Shifters make figurines of their leaders and of any gods the tribe worships. Typically, gods they worship are gods of hunting, gods of tribal people, and Marsta, god of animals.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
Shifters must work to make their keep in the tribe. This work is a leather tanner, a farmer, a hunter, and a weaponsmith. Some tribes have diplomats, who keep relations with other races fine, Lycanthrope eyes, who are shifters who make sure no Were people are among their tribe, and the fishers.
Common Taboos
Shifters cannot destroy or desecrate the Figurines. Doing so is the equivalent of insulting either the god or the leader of the Figurine.
History
In the year 134wr, a tribe of humans were cursed into Lycanthropy on the Island Ichenda. These humans would spread the curse all over Ichenda. However, in 409wr, the last none-cursed tribe, the Vtrand, gave birth to the first Shifter, when a Lycanthrope and a Non-cursed mated, creating a creature with small amounts of both inside it. At first, they were seen as monsters by both sides. To the Humans, they where a lesser Lycanthrope, and to the Lycanthropes, they were Humans trying to infiltrate them and destroy them. Eventually, however, they eventually would be Tolerated by the Humans, only because the Lycanthropes where everywhere. Eventually, in the year 1232wr, most of the Human and Lycanthrope population were gone because of the Shifters, and that they are always the end result when either a human and Lycanthrope, a Lycanthrope and a Shifter, or a Human and a Shifter mate is a Shifter. As such, Ichenda is now mostly Shifter. In 2018wr, most of Ichenda was killed, making it so that only Shifters and Lycanthropes are the only natural born humanoids in Ichenda.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Most Shifters are distrusted by most humanoids, not because they are evil, but because people mistake them for Lycanthropes. Most Beast-like races, such as Tabaxi and Kenku, are usually friendly to Shifters, if only a little more than normal.
