Career
Qualifications
In order to become an artificer, one must learn from an artificer in the use of alchemy, machinery, gunnery, and enhancements. Eventually, the Artificer will learn to master one of these uses.
Career Progression
All Artificers start with very simple potions and magic enhancements. Eventually, they will be able to make their own magically infused items, and then their own special inventions. Depending on their specialization, they can make a mechanical animal, a walking turret, a magic rifle, or specially crafted potions.
Payment & Reimbursement
Artificers are usually either adventurers or military inventors. Building for a local or federal military tends to pay well, around 100-1,000 gold per invention, depending what is being bought.

Purpose
Artificer's main purpose is to further scientific discovery and to invent new items to help people on their daily lives.
Social Status
Artificers do not have a set social status. While many are seen in high regard, many are also seen as insane arsonists who go against the law for their own betterment.
Demographics
Most Artificers are Humans and Gnomes. High Elves, while they usually become wizards, sometimes dabble in the art of the artifice.
History
The Artificer had came into fruition in 1100wr, on the floating Islands of Tchanma, started by house Artify. The name is derived from said house.

Tools
The tools of an artificer are different for every artificer. Artificers will either need herbalist kits, medicine making kits, Blacksmith tools, and the like.
Materials
Because of how an artificer works, they can use just about any material for the purpose of artifice.
Workplace
Most Artificers own labs and workshops, where they train new artificers, as well as where they create their magic items, potions, and such. Typically, the area will smell like either herbs and weird plants, or smell of machinery and oil, with sounds of clanging and sawing when the Artificer is working.
Provided Services
Artificers invent medicines, as well as military and civilian grade technology. For example, the pocket watch was made by an artificer, as well as the flintlock.
Dangers & Hazards
Most artificers die either by monsters, or by their own inventions failing, with the number one way artificers have died are by drinking a poison that they thought was a healing potion.
