Godling

"Your god is dead. I decapitated him with my own two hands! Does that make me his equal? Will you grovel and revere me like you did with him? Or will you raise your head and join my quest to oust these impostors from their ivory towers?"

Gods can be slain, that much is obvious. But until recently, it was believed that only a divine essence could defeat another, mostly because nobody had ever tried. With the first mortal taking down a god, many more followed, claiming their domains after the fact. These individuals of tremendous power, achievers of feats previously thought impossible, have been called Godlings.

Coveted title

Many among the ranks of the Absolutists dream of obtaining this title, but very few can. While their immortality was overstated, numerous gods wield powers unmatchable by mere human might. One does not approach recklessly a god, even a dying one, and claim their head as a trophy. Furthermore, only one person can earn this title when vanquishing a single god. This means that even if it was a team effort, the only seeker who will inherit all the glory is the one delivering the killing blow.

This highly controversial rule leads many showdowns to transform from a cooperative effort to a race for the head. There is no shortage of stories where a raid force has nearly vanquished a god before their members began turning against each other, allowing their prey to regain composure and wipe the entire party at once. To avoid this, modern raid parties have a clearly designated leader who will be the one getting the last hit, often accompanied by several godlings to ensure nobody will try to double-cross them.

Oke this is very interesting. I wonder what would happen after a godling dies? Like do they gain immortality when they get the title and if not what will happen if they die without being killed? will the powers of that god just go wild in the world? Because I can see that causing so major problem
