Phlonemea, God of Water and Life

When the blue-skinned god ascended, he depopulated the sea of every single one of its inhabitants, forever extinguishing the existence of his numerous rivals. He drowned all water dwellers ruthlessly, leaving behind the empty husk of a formerly vibrant ocean.

Father of all

An empty ocean is but a gigantic puddle, unfit for a deity to rule. Thus, he replaced the extinct species with his own. He is the absolute progenitor, the father of all marine life, self proclaimed all-father. To help him in this massive task he first birthed a legion of lesser demigods, mostly of his design, and gave each one of them dominion on an aspect of water. The most powerful inherited the oceans, the elders are sovereign of the sea, even the smallest rivulet was assigned a warden crafted by Phlonemea himself.

Each of his direct descendants were given absolute freedom in the design of their realm, and soon enough every stretch of water was teeming with life, of various forms and size. Even if they are not directly his making, the god of life has an absolute hold over the lesser beings that swim in his domain.

Relationship with other gods

Eleas

He and Eleas are polar opposite and yet, they do not hate each others. Where the god of thunder too made the sky devoid of life, never to refill it, He tolerates the intrusion of Phlonemea's creations in his domain, as long as they do not reach as high as the clouds. Beside that, they rarely interact with each others.

Slyron

Where Phlonemea sees his existence as bound to create life, Slyron sees hers as bound to immolate it. They never could see eye to eye, and avoid an all-out war by the absence of direct contact between their domains. When that happens the eruption of violence between the two deities are the source of numerous catastrophes.

Ourea

Both of their domains are deeply interconnected, water flowing and digging through earth, which in turn allows it to be displaced with the least effort. And yet, there is a cold animosity between him and Ourea. Some bad blood, a few unresolved conflicts here and there, both are fighting to take over the other's realm, in a slow-winded battle. They have all the time in the world to decide the victor.
