Magnus Researches while Volga Fights, Develops the plans to create the Tower of Heaven

Shinzo spends a year doing research while Volga completes military assignments in Shinzo's place.

Shinzo is tasked with dealing with a series of military issues. For the ones involving direct battle, he sends Volga rather than deal with it himself. Volga becomes a very successful general.   For dealing with the logistics of dying, deserting, and turncoat soldiers, Shinzo is ordered by the queen to work on raising a stronger military. However, Shinzo is aware that shy of convincing the rebels to join him or to pay the Zonai obscene amounts of money, there is no one left to draft. He resorts to researching the construction of stronger soldiers instead (quality over quantity).   As such, Shinzo spends this time researching in his home (which would later be the foundation for the first Kakariko).   He invents many spells and artifacts during this time, such as the mask of truth and the lens of truth. However, much of his research is unethical. He tries to create human monstrosities for the war, and does so with torture subjects that would not give their information, dying or dead soldiers, or captured rebels. He makes the Shadow Temple.   These monstrosities were largely a failure. However, during these experiments, Shinzo acquired the knowledge on body transformation necessary to build the tower of heaven and transform the Zonai Tribe to the Wind Tribe.
