The Scofflaws manage to find ruins where the Tendriculous was lairing, and slay it. There, they find evidence that Hsutay may be linked to it — and potentially the Umbo — as well.

The Ghorans were protecting a sickly tree they identified as Grandfather Kor from Zroh. The Scofflaws defeated the Zroh there, and were asked to deal with a larger colony that was attempting to puppetteer gigantic bones to the south. The Scofflaws found their way to the apparent "Bones of Urra Farwander," where they defeated the Zroh and encased the skeleton in alchemical glue so that it couldn't be colonised again.

    Expedition

Chudovish, Hilf, Pershing, Sudara Chala, and Tibia travelled to the Tower of the Candlekeeper, where they found a Psychopomp named Kvor attempting to gain entry, but blocked by a spell. They made a deal with Kvor to grant them entry, and within found several members of the Cloud Kobold tribe the Guild had previously dealt with shivering in fear. The Tower had become haunted by the spirits of the once-inhabiting Wizards of the Tower, as well as more Protean creatures come to close the rift into Cacophony within. After battling through the Tower, the Scofflaws managed to free the Kobolds, break the ritual circle, and banish the restless spirits. Kvor named one of them — the most coherent — "Poda," the same name as Kaddie's child, who could potentially have been messing with time magic.

    Expedition

Baldwyn Truethorn, Cedar, Chess, Frederick Glosband, and Ser Kerridin travelled to Sorin's Pearl, where they encountered a cult of Rudderless known as the Riven Hull. The cult — led by a woman previously met at the Conked Noggin named Arbana Shehu — lay claim to the pearl, and the Scofflaws fought them for control of it. Arbana was captured and brought back to Sigur as a prisoner. The pearl was subdued, and the Scofflaws discovered it is some form of "container" for a few hundred souls of the pre-Disjunction civilisation (the Cwen. The Scofflaws vowed to bring the pearl back to the House of Kor.

    Expedition

Enzelikar Vekhen, Keseki, Sudara Chala, Tarnished, and Taro teleported to Zhilisky, where they discovered the citizens were gathered in a newly-built town square. General Ihrin Otvos — the leader of the Oryovan Occupation — had enacted martial law, and was planning to execute "Angron Bejta," the supposed actual identity of They-Who-Bring-Dusk. The Scofflaws discovered this was a fake — an actor — and the execution was a sham to whip up more nationalist sentiment. Eveline Cagri and her remaining Snuffers were attempting to initiate the Dance of Axes — a rite of Mother Make Me to elevate a native lowborn into a noble — so the town could have self-governance. The Scofflaws ended up killing the General, and exposing her for being corrupt, but not before the fake Bejta could be ritualistically killed by Simu Lazar Flintfeet, thus summoning several undead monstrosities.

Chess, Eșec, Kaddie Okrum, Lynxford, and Serrast teleported to Urra's Rest, and set out towards Xudanê Agirî. On their way, they spied a monument to 'Khkohzd, and met a strange dog-person named Oriog. The Scofflaws explored the Thine-Shir Mountains and Ognayn's Hollow, and made their way to the volcano, where they infiltrated its inner sanctum. There they found a cult of Kobolds who had seemingly butchered their Ancestor-Dragon, Xudanê Agirî, and been mutated in its consumption. The cultists were almost eradicated, with a single survivor, and Xudanê Agirî's heart was devoured by Serrast to put it to rest. Biereign and Poda — Kaddie's family — were rescued from the hatching chamber as well. On return to Penka's Folly, the Scofflaws discovered that "Master" Kronklin had — only moments before their arrival — died suddenly and mysteriously.

    Expedition

Baldwyn Truethorn, Enzelikar Vekhen, Frederick Glosband, Sudara Chala, and Tibia teleported to Urra's Rest, and from there made their way to the Monument to Madness. There, they met a strange mutated man who instructed them to step into the mouth of the effigy of 'Khkohzd. Within, the Scofflaws battled demons, and made their way through to the Gallery of Faces, where they conversed with the disembodied face-souls of the Mererah. They ventured beyond the Monument, and found themselves in Sustain, gaining clues to the origins of the Shadeless Lord, the nature of Lord Velvet's weapon "Cudare," and the invasion of Harmony by House Vekhen.
