After a conversation with Chelsea after being reunited with her, Jaxson has a conversation with her boyfriend, Max, who seems to be interested in their idea of forming a team.

"Okay, you will be fine, Jaxson. You're just meeting a prince for lunch, no big deal," Jaxson spoke to himself. He twiddled his thumbs, his anxiety present in his body language.   He looked around. He knew what Max Farshade looked like, so he was keeping an eye out. He sat alone at the table, trying to not mess with his phone. He tried to compose himself, but how could he in this situation? He was about to meet with a prince, and if things went his way, then his and Evening's dreams would finally be set into motion. If he messed up, they would make no progress, and would have only gotten their hopes up.   "Excuse me, are you Jaxson Greaves?"   He heard a voice behind him and jumped lightly in his seat. He quickly turned around to see the tall man looking at him.   Oh my Gods its him.   "Y-Yes! Nice to meet you in person!" he stuttered as he stumbled out of his chair, quickly reaching his hand out to great him. Max chuckled lightly, taking his hand to shake it. A small smile showed on his face.   "Chelsea has talked a lot about you and your friend. It's a pleasure to meet you in person," he said, his smooth voice washing over Jaxson. If this man wasn't currently dating one of his friends, he would be swooning. "Let's go inside and order. I'll pay, so feel free to order anything you like."   "O-oh, you don't have to..." Jaxson mumbled as the prince walked inside the shop, and Max paused at the door, smiling.   "I insist. I suggested lunch, so I might as well pay. I can afford to spend a little extra," he chuckled, holding the door open for Jaxson. He nervously laughed, walking inside the shop.   The air conditioning slapped him in the face, and he quickly realized just how much he was sweating outside. Not from heat, since it was almost winter, but from nerves.   "So, how long have you lived here in Arkhall?" Max's voice appeared directly next to Jaxson, and he realized how close the two were in line. This man clearly didn't know personal space very well.   "Um, me and Evening got here right after we turned 18, so quite a few years at this point," he explained, looking at the menu. He was suddenly glad Max was paying; even though it was a small shop, the prices were higher than what he was used to.   "And you haven't tried to form a team until now?" Max asked. Jaxson paused for a moment.   "It was kind of always in the back of our mind, but we've always just been more focused on trying to survive. You probably know already that we were homeless, so we've just been trying to build up to having a home and food on the table, so it hasn't come up until recently," he rambled, trying to explain himself. He knew Max didn't mean anything bad by the question, but he felt like he was being interrogated. It might have just been because he was intimidated by Max.   They ordered their food, and went back outside to sit at the table that Jaxson was at before. He suddenly realized how hungry he was, and started digging into his food.   "So, how come you two want to form a team?" Max asked, and Jaxson looked at him with a mouth full of food. "Sorry if it seems like I'm asking too many questions, I'm just trying to understand everything as much as I can."   "No, you're fine!" Jaxson said through his mouth full of food. Max chuckled lightly, and Jaxson swallowed. "We just want to do good in the world, basically. No real reason for that, I guess. It's just what we want to do, and with our powers we feel like we could really make a difference, and it would be easier to operate as a team since our powers by themselves may not make the best solo heroes if that makes sense."   "You have telekinesis and levitation, and Evening is a Glacian, correct?" Max asked, taking a bite out of his food after.   "Yeah. Together we work pretty well, but we're still lacking in areas that I feel other people could help in. Plus, if we make a team, we could also take on bigger jobs from the city itself and help more directly!" Jaxson went on, clearly passionate about what he was talking about.   "You seem to have thought about this a lot," Max noted, and Jaxson nodded. "You just don't have funding, correct?"   "Yeah, that's one of our main issues. And obviously we need another person since teams needs at least 3 people in them," Jaxson said. Max pondered for a moment.   "I know we have barely spoken for more than 10 minutes, but I am very interested in funding your team, and being apart of it as well," he suddenly said, and Jaxson choked on his food. Max laughed, then continued. "I've been doing a bit of hero work in my free time, and I very much enjoy it. I've been looking into getting a hero license myself here in Nestoca, and I think if I commit myself to a team, it will be more beneficial to me on a personal level."   "How do you do hero work as a vampire?" Jaxson asked suddenly. He looked surprised at himself for suddenly interjecting. "I mean, how do you even work in the sunlight, since vampires are sensitive to light? And I know vampires how super human abilities, but how do you use that? I'm just curious."   "Well, for starters, I get elixirs for sunlight resistance. They typically are expensive, but as you are probably aware of, that's not an issue to me. And secondly, I am a shifter vampire." Max explained. Jaxson's eyes widened in surprise.   "Wait, really? Shifter vampires are so rare!" he exclaimed.   "My mother was a shifter vampire, so I got it naturally from her. Plus, unlike most shifter vampires, I actually have 6 animals I can turn into." Max continued, and Jaxson's eyes widened even more.   "That's amazing!" Jaxson said with a smile. He was starting to understand just how powerful Max was, in more ways than one.   "Although I can do a lot with my abilities, I also believe that I would benefit from being apart of a team and helping others." Max set his food down. "This is why I would like to fund your team, and be apart of it as well, so we can both achieve our goals. And I assume since you agreed to this meeting in general, that you are interested in my help."   Jaxson looked at him, and realized that he was making a formal proposition.   "Will you allow me to join your team and fund it?" Max finally asked, reaching his hand out, and Jaxson smiled widely. He took his hand and shook it furiously.   "I would love that!"
