After being separated from Chelsea for years with her attending college, Chelsea runs into Jaxson while he's working his retail job in Arkhall.
"Thank you for shopping at Sparkle Supermarket, please come again!" Jaxson said with a happy grin as the grumbling customer walked away. Once the customer walked out of earshot, Jaxson's face immediately shifted into a grimace. "Please don't." "Jaxson, go stock the shelves in aisle 8, please. I'll get another worker to cover the register," his manager said as he passed by. Jaxson sighed, and headed towards the back room to go grab the items needed to stock the shelves. Back out in the store, he had a moveable stair-set with him ready to start stocking the shelves. He grabbed a box of items, and walked up the stairs to start stocking. He hummed along with the song playing over the speakers, which was just a generic pop song being played from a radio station. Distracted from his thoughts wandering, he accidently dropped a can onto the floor below him. He quickly went down to grab it, but found a woman leaning down to pick it up for him. "Here, I got it," the woman said as she stood back up. "Oh, thank you, you didn't need to-" "Jaxson?" He paused for a moment. He wasn't fully paying attention to the woman, but the way she said his name caught him off guard. Even though his name was fully visible on his name tag, the way she said it was like she already knew it before reading the name tag. He properly looked up at the woman, and his eyes widened. "Chelsea?!" he exclaimed. "I knew I'd find one of you eventually!" she said excitedly, pulling him into a hug. He eagerly returned it. "Dude, it's been so long since we've seen you! How was college?" he asked as he pulled out of the hug. "It was amazing! I managed to finish my degree a year early, and now I'm certified to work with high level alchemy! I actually got a job at the big alchemy shop in downtown Arkhall with pretty good pay," she explained, seeming very excited about her experience. "That's great! I assume that means that you're moving here now?" he asked, although he basically knew the answer already. "Yep, moved here about 3 months ago. Been hoping that I would eventually find you and Evelyn," she laughed, then stopped. "Oh, right! How's Evelyn? I assume you two still are friends?" "She actually goes by Evening now, but yep! We have an apartment together, and we're trying to just get a bunch of money to get an idea of ours off the ground," he explained, starting to get to work at stocking the shelves again as he watched a co-worker of his stare him down as she passed by. "What idea is that?" "Well... you know how the three of us always said that we wanted to do good in the world? We're thinking about starting our own hero team, but we kind of want at least one other person to join, and we kind of need more money is order to pay for a lot of the fees and maybe get a better place for a HQ, since we don't know if they would accept our apartment as a proper HQ," he explained. Chelsea looked at him for a moment, and then smiled. "You two haven't changed a bit, have you?" she grinned, and Jaxson smiled sheepishly back, his missing canine showing. "We just wanna do good, ya know?" he said softly, melancholy look on his face. Chelsea thought for a moment. "This might be a long shot, but I might know someone who could help." "Really? Who?" "Have you heard of Max Farshade?" Jaxson sharply turned around to look at her. "Of course I have, he's the prince of Arisan, one of the biggest kingdoms still left from the medieval ages! You know him?!" he exclaimed, not caring how loud he was or that people were staring at him. "Actually, I'm dating him-" "WHAT?!" Chelsea laughed at her friend. He really hadn't changed. "How the hell are you dating THE Max Farshade? How did that even happen?" Jaxson asked, climbing back down from the step ladder. "It's a long story, but he has the same dream as you guys. He's been looking into getting a hero license in Nestoca so he can start dealing with crime, but he might be interested in helping you guys form a team if I talk to him about it," she explained, and Jaxson just looked at her with an dumbfounded expression. "Jaxson?" she asked when he didn't respond. "I... wha... Farshade... team..." he stuttered, exasperated. "Jaxson, are you okay? You look pale..."
