Vehicles
A vehicle is a machine that transports people or cargo.There are many kinds of vehicles, such as Ground vehicles (motorcycles, cars, trucks, buses), railed vehicles (trains, trams), watercraft (ships, boats, underwater vehicles), and Aircraft (airplanes, helicopters, airships).
Modern vehicles have fundamentaly altered life on Ghala. Airships or cargo ships can carry goods and people across the globe in a short time, cars can allow anyone to traverse entire continents with relative ease, and military vehicles can either bring troops to the front or directly engage in combat.
using a vehicle
To use a vehicle, one must first know how to drive it. Each vehicle class has it's own profeciency. Once you learn how to operate a vehicle in that class, you are proficeint with that particular class of vehicle. For instance, if you know how to drive a car, you can operate any ground vehicle. Once proficent with a vehicle class, you may add your profeicency bonus to any checks made with it. For everey day driving, you will likely not need to make any kind of check. However, doing manuvers or driving in unstable terrain may cause you to have to perform a driving check. Some vehicles may have weapons or driver operated items. The driver can control the weapons or items as an action. If a vehicle has weapons, it can attack a set ammount of times per turn regardless of how many attacks the charecter gets.destroying a vehicle
All vehicles have HP and an AC. If a vehicles HP is reduced to 0, it will be disabled. THis means that it cannot move or perform actions. Any non vehicle dependant object may still be interacted with or used even if a vehicle is disabled (for instance, an APC-2 Nomad is disabled. The driver cannot move the vehicle or do anything short of exiting the vehicle. However, a mounted machine gun can still be used by a passenger because it is not dependant on the vehicles systems to operate) If a vehicles HP drops to a certain point below 0, it may explode. If this happens, all creatures within the blast radius will take explosive damage. The damage dealt as well as the blast radius will vary depending on the vehicles size and weather or not it has munitions on board.repairing damage
To repair damage done to a vehicle, a set of Mechanic's Tools can be used to recover lost HP. Alternatively, the vehicle can be left at a n area where professionals can work on it with proper equipment in order to fully restore it. Using mechanic's tools is faster and can be done in the field, but may not recover all damage taken. Leaving a vehicle at a shop to be repaired will always fully restore it. Ground vehicles can be left at a mechanic shop or garage to reair, aircraft can be parked in hangers, and watercraft can be docked at a port.
