Arrhus is the capital city of the Republic Of Adreal.
Arrhus was the first city settled independently by humans since the fall of the Arcturi Empire on Iyass.
Demographics
Arrhus is a very diverse city, at least half of it's residents are human and 20% is aarakocra, the rest is made up of a menagerie of races from across Ghala.
Defences
Arrhus has no visible defenses, however a large contingent of the Republican military is always stationed here.
Industry & Trade
Arrhus sits on an important intersection of highways that lead to southern, central, and northern Getrea. This makes it a common stop for traders across the continent.
Infrastructure
Arrhus is connected to the rest of the Republic via highway, airport and railroad.
Guilds and Factions
The Republican government operates out of Arrhus. Congress, the President, and military high command are all centered around Federal Plaza just outside downtown. Many nations have embassies or consolates in this area as well.
Carcano Heavy Industry's corprate HQ is in downtown Arrhus.
History
Arrhus was the first independant human city since Caracamor several thousand years ago. Arrhus was founded along the banks of the Adreal River due to it's fertile land and plentiful resources nearby.
Throughout the centuries, Arrhus has become one of Ghala's largest cities as well as a global political hub.
Tourism
Downtown Arrhus is home to many sights including the ancient Royal Pyramids as well as Carcano Tower, a 830 ft tall skyscraper.
The Federal District has the National Musem, where historic artwok and artifacts are displayed.
Architecture
Arrhus has a mostly modern, post industrial architectural style in downtown and a renissance style in the Federal District. Residential districts have a distictive 1950's americana style.
Geography
Arrhus sits on the banks of the Adreal River in eastern Getrea. Summers are hot and humid while winters are cold with regular snowfall.
