Enzimian Sanhedrin

The Enzimian Sanhedrin, known originally as simply The Sanhedrin (Varaso: Lo Sanhedrin, /lʊ sɐˈɲedrĩ/), was the sovereign governing body of the Free City of Enzim and later Holy Enzimian Empire, as well as the highest religious authority of Orthodox Furanism. It was composed of 23 judges or clerics. In modern times, it retained little actual secular authority, with most authority lying with the emperor. While the body was theoretically vested with various legislative and judicial powers, it acted mostly as a rubber stamp for the emperor and the executive.
