The Creation

Everything comes to an end. But when a universe ends, it's gods don't go quietly. They fight back. And if they lose, they flee. Nobody knows, where they came from, or what exactly happened to their old universe. But at some point, Aviro and Morghalia entered ours.   At the time it was nothing more, than a pocket of unrealised potential, yet to be filled with things, or with life to enjoy these things.   Thinking themselves safe from the cataclysm they escaped, they took to resting. But they were mistaken, for this universe wasn't as empty as they had thought. Enraged by their presence an eternal Darkness that had slumbered here, trapped for eternities, awoke and attacked.   Fighting for their lives, the two Dragons found themselves facing defeat, when in one fateful moment, their Weapons began to glow, burning hotter than a million stars.   And from the fire rose 7 more Dragons, and their names were Liora, Greada, Darag, Aeondir, Vehestra, Daemor and Rekfas.   And they gazed upon the situation and they knew what they had to do. And with combined force, the Dragons fought back. And they managed to seal away the Darkness, and the seal they created was Gerandia.   And so the Dragons enjoyed their peace for a while, but they soon realized, that the universe was empty,. And so they started creating. And they created many things. They created the Planes, and wove them around. And the center of the Planes became the material Plane, with Gerandia being at it's center.   And soon they saw, that all the things they created, while beautiful, were left unseen, for there was no life besides them. And so the Dragons set out to populate the Universe, creating Life of all Manner and Sort, starting with Gerandia.   And they filled the Planet with Trees, and Animals. And then, finally they filled it with us. Elves, Humans, Dwarves, Rek'ash and more, all of us, given life, so we could see the wonders they had created.  

The above is a concise recount of the events that took place leading up, and during the creation of Gerandia and the Universe as a whole. Thanks to divination magic, as well as dilligent scholars taking it upon themselves to gather information sometimes from beings that were around since the creation of Gerandia, as well as the work of clerics, interpreting the words of their gods, there is a lot of evidence supporting this most commonly told story of Gerandias Creation.  

While there are different versions and tellings, emphasising different aspects, the creation of Gerandia is well documented, despite the fact that no more documents from the time exist today.   This is in large fact due to the use of divination magic, to gaze into the past, as well as Information collected from beings that were around since the creation, all compiled by scholars and clerics. This large mountain of evidence and accounts, mean that there is little left for interpretation or speculation when it comes to the events that unfolded leading to the creation of Gerandia, and the Universe in the wider sense. The primary points of debate, tend to be the exact order of some events happening closely after another, whether some events were exaggerated or not, as well as the importance of individual dragons to various aspects of the creation.  

While little variation exist, the most common one, has the races of Gerandia created after another, rather than at the same time.   Scholars have been unable to definitively prove which version is the correct one, with most taking the lack of evidence, for a sign that all peoples of Gerandia were created at the same time.   The most cited competing, variation however, claims that the Elves were created before the other Races. This variation is especially popular among Elves, and was also used as a justification for The Conquest of the First Elves
