Riders of Twilight

aka Twilight Riders   (5%) (few men become Twilight Warriors, 1%) Those who are exceptional female warriors from the Crimson who have successfully Linked with an Ancient half breed and ride them in combat but the Ancient half breeds are also companions. Linking for Sordeans only needs the ink from Taloreans tattooed on their right hand (palm), the Ancient half breed does not need a tattoo, a Sordean will use their ability to heat their hands to awaken the Linking magic by heating their hand with the tattoo and placing it on the forehead of the Ancient half breed. No mark will be on the animals forehead and the tattoo on the Sordean will vanish.   Linked Ancient half breeds: Are stronger, live longer and have more offspring which is incredibly important since their offspring are few and far between. If the Linked Sordean dies, the Ancient half breed will live and can become Linked again, but if the Ancient half breed dies the Sordean will die. This Linking must be mutual otherwise the spell will fail, Ancient half breeds are very picky about whom they Link with and that is typically a warrior but on rare occasions they will link with a Sordean who is not an elite warrior (the Sordean will be called a Maronis for women and a Maron for men)
