Mutants are incredibly prevalent in this world. This can include players!
In order to have a Minor/Major Mutation, you must take a Drawback. You can use the points that Drawbacks give in order to buy a Minor/Major Mutation!
For the sake of character creation, I will allow 1 Drawback and 1 Mutation. Any leftover points from the Drawback can be used later down the road!
You will have multiple opportunities to mutate, so don't feel too pressured about picking one now, if you even want one at all!
Cosmetic Mutations: They have no in-game effects, other than changing your appearance in some way. These are free! Minor Mutation: Changes your appearance, but also grants a minor special ability or feature (i.e. Darkvision or Gills). Usually offset by a single drawback. Major Mutation: Fundamentally changes the Genetics and Physiology of a particular creature. It grants you a beneficial special ability or feature you could otherwise not have. (i.e. Telekinesis). These must be offset by one or more drawbacks. Drawbacks: Drawbacks are vulnerabilities or disabilities that negatively affect the creature. Each one has a MP value of which you can trade for a minor or major mutation to offset the negative effects!
