As the UEG receded from the Outer Colonies entirely, refusing aid and rescinding logistical support, the people of the Helice-12 System declared formal non-recognition of Earth governance. Sonata's broadcast of the Declaration of Sovereign Fire marked the political birth of the UCG as a self-ruling body. All surviving colonies in the Helice-12 sector joined the cause.
The siege lines expanded. Mobile fabrication units were deployed. Artillery bastions on Sonata were now shipped to allied worlds via makeshift war convoys. The UCG Flag, a flame wreathed in a steel crown, was raised across three systems.
