Burst! issue #2: quiet days(?)

"Hey Sento!" raito yelled from across the hall "what's our next class?" "math i think" sento replied a little surprised, seeing raito in school was a rare sight. "DAMMIT!, i hate math" "oh don't be a baby" they heard a voice behind them, izu's voice. "yeah, math can be fun!"   "i wouldn't go THAT far, it's pretty boring, but hey! gotta study" "UGH, i'm gonna ditch" "what a shock" "anyways" sento said "15:00 at my place? got something i want you to test out" "is it another attempt at kamen rider suits?" "n..no....yeah, it is" "ok, and then we hit the streets" "sounds good to me" as the day went on, sento thought about their situation, the rise of magear around town, their fight to protect the people, them running from the police, it was all crazy   "mr dellphe!" his teacher called "yes, ms hano?" "if you've got time to daydream, i assume you already know how to solve this equation" as she pointed to the board "yeah, x= 23.5 and y=22.76,easy" "just pay attention" "yes miss" no matter what, he thought, he always had his mind, and no one can take it.         ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   "so, what do we have to test?" raito said, stretching "new armor, but i needed some more parts, izu should be on the way with them" "japan?" "hokkaido" "closer than usual" "yeah got a good deal on a good power converter" "hi, i'm back!" izu walked into the room "got your part" "thanks, give me 2 minutes" they sat in sentos room, it was filled with different gadgets and inventions, most of which they didn't recognize "aaaaaand done!" sento said with a smile, handing each of them a black backpack and a bracelet "are we going on a trip?" izu sad jokingly "just put it on and press the button on the bracelet." raito pressed the button, and the backpack sprung to life, unfolding and covering his whole body, forming an armor around him, it was bulky, heavy, with a wolf motif. "i present- the vulcan unit! it has pistons all around it to enhance your strength even further than it already is!" "cool!, what do i get?" izu said and pressed the button. her suit unfolded, it was sleeker han raitos, aerodynamic , with a cheeta motif "the valkyrie unit! it enhances your speed by reducing friction and boosters in the back" "kinda looks like the zwelos sage, sento" "yeah, i may be smart, but i'm not original" he said with a laugh "alright, let's go!" raito said pressing the button, retracting the suit "okay, let's see what's on the radar, there seem to be a disruption in the shopping district south" "on it!" they both said and left the room, sento put on his headset "1 2 can your hear me?" "loud and clear" "camera's on, drones ready, suits charged, ready to go"       ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   they headed to the shopping district, izu arriving within seconds and checking out the area, a large crowd running, some broken windows, and a humagear out of control "looks like a mantis one, sento, any data?" "bellosima, an ancient insect, went extinct about 4 million years" "any weaknesses?" "working on it, for now, focus on the buckle, that's what caused the previous ones to attack" "on it" izu said and transformed, with raito in his suit right behind her "target- bellosima magear, objective-eliminate, you are clear to engage" sento said over the headset "hai-Q" they both said in unison, and charged at the robot BAM! raito's fist collided with the robot's head knocking it back right into izu. she unleashed a kick into it's back, the robot stumbled "humans- eradicate" he said in a mechanical voice "in your dreams pal" raito sad and punched it in the chest, the robot flew back "no one destroys our town and gets away with it" "guys, aim for his arms, than grab the buckle" "got it Q" izu said running straight into the magear, slashing its arms off with ease "damn these suits are good, you've outdone yourself this time Q" "oh you haven't seen anything yet, hit the button on your side" raito pressed the button "initiating final kick-vulcan" "hell, yeah" he jumped in the air, thrusters opened on the back of his suit "you're done" raito said kicking it's chest BAM! and the magear was destroyed "HEY WATCH IT!" izu said "like you couldn't run" "not the point vulcan" "guys, not the time" "right, police, i'll grab the buckle" izu said looking through the rubble "it's not here" "no time to search further, we've got some company coming" "police?" "redmist" "oh crap, let's go" they ran into an ally, transformed back and walked back to sentos       ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   "good work you two!" sento said with a smile "didn't even break a sweat" "speak for yourself, i'm exhausted, and we've got that final coming up" "and prom" raito said and gave sento a look "by the way, sento, who's your date?" "huh? nobody,that stuff is boring" "oh c'mon, mister big brain can't ask a girl out" "he doesn't even have to do that " izu said with a smile "3 of my classmates asked him out and he said no" "THEY WERE ALL DUDES!" izu and raito burst out laughing "yeah you're a guy magnet,maybe that's why you reject girls" "hey, who helped you mister "i have no idea what to do on dates"" "wait, you helped raito hit on me?" "come on, it was obvious you two liked each other, i just put pieces in motion" "you sneaky idiot" "hey, it worked" "i suppose" izu said and kissed raito on the cheek "see you tonight" "100%" raito said. "well, i've got homework" "yeah, and i promised my mom i'd help her clean the house" "ok, see you tomorrow!" and they both left he always felt like a bit of a third weel, maybe he should find a date? "alright, let's get started on dinner, dad would be home soon" he said to himself, and started cooking.       ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   "i'm home" "hi dad, dinner's almost ready" "great, i'm starving" he sat down at the kitchen "how was school?" "good, just studying for the finals" "and how are raito and izu?" "good, hung out with them all afternoon" "anything else you would like to tell me?" sento froze, does he know about their team? "not really" "ok" jun said and got up "i'll eat in my study, got a lot of work to do" "what are you working on" "the burst key project" sentos eyes lit up "oh that armor system you mentioned? that's awesome!" "oh it is, but it's giving me a hell of work" "hey, when it's done, think zaia would need a test pilot?" "i'm sure they have someone in mind" "oh okay" he said in a slightly sad voice "anyways, food's ready"       ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   sento laid in bed, he thought of today, guess this is the new norm, wake up, school, crime fighting, running from the police, and going to bed, it certainly wasn't boring, but was this his calling? he didn't know. he tried to go to sleep, but his mind won’t let go of it, what was causing the magear? who was behind it? why? just thinking of it made him mad   knock knock “hey sento?” “yeah dad, come in” “thanks” his dad walked in and sat on the chair “so, i wanted to talk to you about something” “okay, what is it?” his dad seemed distracted, or maybe nervous? he wasn’t sure “well, i…i’m not going to be home for a while, think you can handle yourself?” “work trip?” “kind of, not allowed to give details, sorry” “oh well, i’ll get by, when will you be back?” “in about a month, don’t worry, i won’t miss my only sons graduation” he said with a laugh “you sure you’ll be okay” “yeah, don’t even worry about it” “good, good” he said and got up to leave “oh, one more thing” “yeah?” “While I'm gone, take care of my study okay?” “wait, you’re letting me into your study?!” jun smiled, and closed the door behind him dad’s study? he was rarely allowed to even look in, let alone come in “this is gonna be great” he said and closed his eyes, and drifted into sleep.
