Orcus
Lord of the Undead (a.k.a. Blood Lord)
Orcus is typically described as having the head and legs of a goat, although with ram-like horns, a bloated body, bat-like wings, and a long tail.
Orcus cares for nothing save himself—not even his devotees and undead servants—and focused only on spreading misery and evil. One of his most identifiable symbols is the artifact known as the Wand of Orcus, a skull-topped wand with the power to slay any living being. Orcus also wields a powerful artifact known as the Orcusword.

Artifacts
Wand of Orcus
The Wand of Orcus is a powerful artifact. This skull-topped wand has the ability to automatically slay any living creature it touches. The Wand is highly coveted across the planes, and Orcus sometimes lets it fall into the hands of mortals in order to allow them to wreak chaos and evil.
The Orcusword
The Orcusword is Orcus's personal weapon.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
His symbol is a mace with a human skull as the head, or a Four-horned goat head
Tenets of Faith
Followers of Orcus are commanded to promise their souls to their demonic patron, to eschew mercy, and to embrace torture and suffering. They are promised that one day Orcus's minions will overwhelm the world in a tide of undeath, and that even the gods will die.
Eat of his flesh and drink of his blood, they are urged, and through Orcus you will gain life everlasting.
Holidays
The holy days of Orcus are the nights of the new moons and Lastlight 30, the last day of the year. When a moon is at its darkest, worshipers of Orcus are required to either create an undead creature or to bring a corpse to other Orcus cultists so that an undead creature can be made.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Like other Demon Lords, he surpasses the power of your everyday Balors, and unlike other demon lords, he is active in granting power to the mortals in the Material Plane. This is because Orcus has one driving goal, to see the world bound in the perfect stasis of undeath and stillness.
“I will be the last creature when I am done. The cosmos will then be perfect, free of the braying abominations that are all other living things.” -OrcusOrcus would see the cosmos transformed into a vast necropolis populated solely by undead creatures under his command. It’s telling that, though Orcus does revel in destruction and suffering and misery–as all demons do–he far prefers the undead and their unquestioning obedience. Ironic that a creature of chaos incarnate would be interested in only the order or stasis of death, but chaos and order are two sides of the same coin.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Orcus has a fearsome appearance, though he certainly looks more human than some of the other demon lords like Dagon and Zevgavizeb. Orcus takes the shape of a fat humanoid with the head and cloven feet of a demonic ram, the wings of a an enormous bat, and a tail ending in a stinger. Orcus wields his infamous heavy mace called the Wand of Orcus.
Reign
Orcus’ base of power is on Thanatos, the 113th layer of the Abyss. There you will find the fortress city of Naratyr, surrounded by a moat fed by the River Styx, Naratyr is as quiet and cold and cruel as its master. But Orcus is not content to rest easy and foetid in Naratyr. He will grant mortals who spread death in his name a portion of his terrible power. In this way, his influence spreads in the Prime Material. His favored servants are given powerful, forbidden magics that include power over undead creatures–some even have sought Orcus’ counsel to become liches.
