Shrimpfly

200 years after the plants have been uncovered, I would like to help avoid problems of genetic diversity by introducing pollinators for all of these and other subterranean plant life people add. These little dudes not only collect pollen but mushroom spores to spread around. Enter the Shrimpfly. Wings of a dragonfly, proboscis like a butterfly, body structure and taste of a shrimp, social behavior of a honeybee. These guys will just burst wholesale out of the stone to get to work one day during the spring equinox. They also prefer being 1 mile belowground or lower, and increase in hardiness and power the deeper they are.   A shrimpfly is mostly harmless. They do not expand relentlessly or exponentially, but instead seem to have an acute awareness of their food supply and population ceiling. They bumble about smelling for pollen or spores, and generally help out the local plantlife and funguslife as they go. When threatened, they can change their coloration to look like rocks.   Since each genetic population is inherently limited, they have a curious magical ability- they can trade pollen or spores across hives if they are of the same species. So a sourberry pollen particle from badger group can be teleported and replaced with a sourberry pollen particle from another group- this does not allow for entire new species to teleport across the underdark.   Their final contribution: their honey is a mild painkiller that is not chemically addictive. If refined, can form a more potent (also not chemically addictive) painkiller Oh woops, I forgot one last thing: if the hive queen is threatened, they can take air into their bodies and fire themselves at an attacker like little projectiles. They typically pick up tiny sharp rocks before doing so, to maximize the harm done. Like bees, smoke calms them if you are gathering honey
