Doppel

A temporary name maybe?   The Phoenix Queen's Tower, built and destroyed by her in quick succession. The explosion acted as the epicenter for the creation of this new "race" - all mortals within what was once the Jungle Court became Doppels.   Omnivorous. Semi-incorporeal during infancy/childhood. If abandoned at a young age, changeling children can enter a "panic mode" stalling their aging but reducing them to basically standard horror movie ghost children until they "un-panic". In old age, they slowly become incorporeal again before fading into a local land spirit.   Land spirits would basically be regional spirits made of the changeling spirits, memories, and emotions surrounding the area. Usually these are attached to locations people consider sacred.
