Muyska - The Forgotten Language
The language of the ancient people of the land, the Muka. There were several dialects, but all understood the base language because it was used for all religious and spiritual rituals and writings.
Most knowledge of the language has been lost since the Foaba - all that is known so far is what can be gleaned from inscriptions, some religious documents, and oral tradition - therefore, very little is known about grammar, syntax, etymology, etc.
The ancient Mukan names are still used for most places and geological features, as well as the months and days, although most people have no idea what all the names mean.
The Chye each choose a Mukan name for themselves when they are ordained - usually something associated with their Keko.
