Traimbers

The Traimbers are special creatures that are similar to what modern humans are. They inhabit most regions of (NAME OF CONTINENT). Due to their inaccessibility to boats and magic they cannot cross any major water ways. These creatures are known to wood elves and most forest living creatures but not very well known apart from them. They are mysterious creatures and do not like interaction from foreign species such as humans. Their habitat is restricted to major forests, jungles, mountains and caves.
The Traimbers live inside and on trees and caves to hide from predators and other animals that may hunt them for food. Using their exellent dexterity and climbing skills to traverse harsher terrain and normal barriers for animals. They are more dexterous and stronger than normal humans but lack common features that make humans able to use magic and excel in intelligence and wisdom. They have way stronger grip in the foot, hand and tail which i did not mention. Moreover their hands and feet are also more similar to each other, not too disimilar to what monkeys and bats have.
Traimbers are hostile to most creatures that they know can kill them, ex. Humans, Elves and Any predator. However, they are not hostile to halflings or dwarves due their size, they do not see them as a legitimate threat so they will only attack them if they feel threatened or need food. Their main source of food is deer and other animals that roam the forest. They also eat berries and fruit like any other humanoid creature.
No real history has been recorded of Traimbers due to their tribalistic and isolationist stance towards the world. Traimbers only record history in oral traditions and sagas, many stories tell of heroes and warriors against wood elves and humans trying to colonize the forests of the Traimbers. Lots of human and elvish expedition have gone missing in the lands where Traimbers are prevalent. Usually for stepping on their land or by feeling threatened, because of poachers and hunters seeking to hunt rare animals and Traimber bodyparts for potions, trophies or rituals within a few religions, cults or cultures.
