Palo "Oakenheart"

Palo "Oakenheart" was born into poverty, his mother was a laundress, his father most likely a sailor of the royal Bocamarian trade fleet, or so he was told by her at least. Born into poverty as a bastard, Palo had no prospects to talk off. Without any money his mother could not afford him even the most basic education and so Palo joined the Royal Navy as a cabin boy on the Cora, one of the many Galleys. the money earned barely staved off starvation, so soon Palo was on the hunt for every penny he could earn, scrubbing the decks, cooking up meals and repairing small damages on board. The last proved to be the most fruitfull so Palo had learned how to fix the most basic problems withing a few months. When the Cora had to be overhauled in one of the many shipwrights of Bocamar, instead of joining another crew Palo decided to offer his help in overhauling the Cora, which was accepted considering he had helped fix the most urgent problems and knew his way around the ship saving the shipwrights valuable time. After a successful first project many more followed and years later Palo had taken over one of the cities wharfs himself, learning along the way and investing much time and effort into furthering his education. Arriving at the current day Palo has been elected chief guildmaster of Bocamars shipwrights and has become close friends with the cities King, Palo II who he in part helped to educate. Palo is considered the ultimate pragmatist with little regard for ideals or principles, to him the ends justify the means, which one could argue has certainly worked in his life so far.
