Cult of Sagra Arr
Origins
Since time immemorial the tribes and peoples of Garfarr have been worshipping the spirit of the Arr, that is the basis of their livelihoods and wealth. Myths claim that the spirit refered to as "Sagra Arr" cleansed the land of Garfarr of evil spirits and the greatest of all demons, called Velmalla, in a dramatic fight trapping it away for all eternity below the rivers waves. "Sagra Arr" now invited the ancestor of today's Garfarrians, a wanderer called Ador, to settle and live on the land in peace.
Worship
Worship of Sagra Aar is often practised in a context of spirit worship. Although Sagra Arr is the most revered of these, it is by far not the only one.
Garfarrian spirit worship is at least as old as the oldest settlements in the region but likely even precedes it.
Worshipers and Cultists of Sagra Arr have been known to meet in large congregations at the banks of the Arr river during full moon with large amounts of sacrificial offerings enganging in elaborate ceremonies and rituals with the ultimate goal of asking for the spirits favor in things minor and major.Remove these ads.
