Cornilope (Corn-uh-lope)

Cornilope or (Lupi cornibus) is a mammal that inhabits forests and praries across the regions in and surounding Garfarr. They weigh about 50-70kg for males and 40-60kg for females, their height is about 1m-90cm depending on gender and 2m long (varies). These creatures are omnivores their diet usually consists of berries deer and other smaller animals. The Cornilope are a species that evolved from the northern wolf that migrated to the garfarr, that would explain the drastic change in the body and fur due to the climate and temperature changing drastically. Their horn can get as big as their legs if not broken or cut off, just like with deer and elk their horns can become a liability if grown to big and will inbalance the weight and slow them down.

Cornilopes populations are not endangered but have been waining due to over hunting and the demand for their high quality antler and fur. Many people in the scholarly community for flora and fauna worry that if poaching and hunting of this animal is not curbed, it will become a endangered species in the next few decades. No recorded Cornilope has ever been tamed and is much harder owing to its drastic change in social function and growing away from its more pack centered past. When its time for mating season, they go into so called "Herds" to mate instead of just finding a mate in the wild. This is their way of finding a mate is  works like human tournaments, the winner gets the best mate and the ones who lost gets the less and less attractive mates.
   Cornilopes have large paws with large claws and slender white legs. The Cornilope have a larger body than the traditional wolf, the head is very reminiscient of the wolf but slightly bigger to support the bigger body and antler. The antler is the crown jewel of the Cornilope and weighs usually around 1-2kg and can get as big as 80-100cm tall. The Cornilope has less fur than a common gray wolf but that does not make it not sought after, the fur of the Cornilope is relatively luxerious due to its rarity in recent times and lack of fur per batch or per Cornilope.
