Ambassador/assistant to the ruler

Ambassadors is the second highest on the social rank, they work directly for the ruler making them have lots of political and social influence. It is very difficult to become an ambassador and the role is also very unfair to commoners as it is almost impossible for commoners to become ambassador and climb the social ranks   Ambassadors get the privilege of living in the castle, wearing expensive colours and eating rich food. That being said they are still seen as workers for royalty and there are certain things they can't do because of their position.    Ambassadors serve as secretary's to the ruler, they help manage the rulers problems and diplomatic issues and can have massive influence on the ruler if they play their cards right. Lots of ruler, even though they're not really supposed to, end up forming close friendships with their ambassadors and sometimes even romantic relationships... (you can properly image the scandal this can cause)
