Temple of a Thousand Mirrors

It is a quaint Zorani assumption, that the Temple is a land filled with darkness and misery. Humans see death, and its creator as something wholly negative. It is a great surprise to many of them when faced with paintings of snow covered white towers and auburn leaves. They cannot understand that death, and things associated with it may be comforting.
— Nation of death, Zimar Galowski

Mythology

As the world formed and the gods took their homes in different parts of Eana, Hareth wandered the material plane. It is said that she fell in love with the land and the creatures created from the shared work of her kin. For a long time, she insisted on living amongst the mortal children, wishing to see and experience the world as they do. She would walk the earth and taste the fruit, much to the worry of other gods of Garatha. Despite the collective love they all felt towards their creations, it was always understood that they could never live amongst the mortal creations. Their existence, by its very nature would cause too much disruption in the order of things. To soothe The Prophetess, the other gods of Garatha banded together and gifted her a realm adjacent to Garatha; a place she could wonder and experience in peace and harmony.

Geography

temple of a thousand mirrors 1
by Lane

Despite it's name, the Temple of a Thousand mirrors is only a small part of the plane. The land surrounding Hareth's sanctuary is a quiet wood; red and golden leaves illuminated by the light from above. Springs of water break up the land; veins of crystalline water running throughout the woods, emanating a soft light. This water stems from the Well of Souls, sitting at the centre of the Prophetess' home. It is theorised that through these veins, the Prophetess gazes into the planes below her own, just as the planes above can be seen if one were to look up into the sky. To reach the temple, one must simply follow the water; all that flows eventually returns to the well. The actual temple is an open dome built of light, shimmering stone. Tall, framed mirrors replace the walls, showing unspeakable secrets to anyone who would dare to look within.

Thanks to rigorous studies of conjurers and the delicate art of extra-planar travel, it is known that the Temple sits at the centre of Eana, as a pathway between the "Higher" and "Lower" planes. The material plane sits just below it, and is commonly used as a hub for travel to other planes, situated further away.

Fauna & Flora

Spirits claimed by the Lady of Mirrors reside in the plane, tending to the temple and the newly dead souls before their judgement. Since the Lady's return to her home, the Nala Or'lonod has been seen growing in the wood surrounding the temple. The plane is also native to creatures known as Psychopomps. These creatures, whilst often gaunt and unpleasant to the humanoid eye, are devoted to their lady, performing a range of tasks for her; from guiding and consoling the dead, to hunting servants of Danno'dei or noting down events of an individuals life. Worshippers of Hareth believe that each individual is assigned a Psychopomp at birth, who then note the entirety of their life to be stored in the Temple.
