  Wererat Thieves are the cursed foot soldiers of Arnie's Scourge, a notorious thieves' guild that operates from the shadowy Rat Road beneath the city of Retch in the Echose Marshlands. Afflicted with Rodenthropy, these thieves can transform into grotesque rat creatures, gaining enhanced agility and stealth in their bestial forms. Though their cursed state makes them formidable, it also comes with a relentless hunger that gnaws at them when they revert to their gaulan guise, driving them to constant desperation. Under Arnie’s cunning leadership, these wererats skulk through the city’s underbelly, stealing whatever they can to feed both their hunger and their guild’s ambitions. Feared for their unpredictability and beastly cunning, they are known to slip through the city unnoticed, disappearing into the labyrinthine Rat Road before anyone can catch wind of their presence.
