Udalrich
Udalrich stands broad-shouldered on the stone pavements of Meiriel, palms callused from hammering red-hot steel in the forge. His dark hair is streaked with ash, and a pair of goggles rest against his weathered brow—necessary for tempering blades in altitude’s thin sun.
Born in Meiriel, he learned the trade of smithing from his father, but found his calling defending the home when raiders came over the jagged ridges. He joined the Men of Meiriel, crafting both sword and shield. In battle he wields a heavy war-hammer, in peace he tempers reputation as much as metal.
Though he distrusts gaulans from the lowlands, especially those who come with promises too bright, he respects fire elves for their craftsmanship and trade .
