Trineign Winterblood

567   Trineign Winterblood stands at the peak of Bleakspine Mountain, the cold wind tugging at his patchy grey-white hair and beard, whipped by centuries of torrential storms. Three jagged heads rise from his massive frame, each bearing a different scar-pattern from battles past. His grey-tinged skin is tough as slag, and his fingers end in iron-like claws—tools as much as weapons. In his grasp he carries his broadsword, its blade carved from a broken crag, icy silver-veined with hardened metal.   He is chieftain of the Troll Lorddom on Breria—an alliance of mountain trolls who once followed Teyranus across the sea during the Hearthic Invasion, hoping to claim the mainland for their own. Trineign’s three heads speak separately but act with unity: one plans strategy, another negotiates tribute, the third rallies his thunderous warband. Under his rule the Lorddom thrives in fissured ridges and frigid caves, mining the ice-steel veins that run beneath Breria’s rocky crust.   In the fields of Breria, common folk whisper of the mountain swings and clawed footprints left behind when Trineign’s forces descend. They call him the “Three-Storm Herald,” for his attacks come with the force of a natural disaster. Though he leads trolls, he respects strength regardless of race: a gaulan warrior who stands firm, an ogre who tames beasts—both are welcome among his Lorddom if they prove their worth against his best.   When the Hearthic invasion faltered and the mainland turned, Trineign did not retreat. Instead he made peace in blood-pact with the trolls, they fought until death in an attempt to defeat the resurging army of Gaul.
