Sir Morokin

Sir

Sir Morokin once stood tall on the ramparts of Skygarde, spell-bearer of the city, captain of the High Guard, cloaked in polished steel and the pride of the noble lineage. His helm was a blackened version of the High Guard armour—now tarnished. The day he raised his blade against Hector Skytracer, his honour died and justice twisted in his stead. His strike did not slay the Highking but alas, Morokin did kill his liege. In the healer’s ward where Hector was rushed, an outbreak of the Black Fog had a resurgence. The King was inflicted with the deadly affliction of the plague and died shortly afterwards.   In the Melrin District prison, he sits in chains of cold iron, the heat of his betrayal long burned out. His mind lingers on the Wicker Man he once erected outside the cathedral—a symbol of fear, obedience, and the broken oath of guardians. Guards call his name with bitterness; prisoners regard him with silence.   No longer a hero, yet more than prisoner: Morokin is the warning etched in Skygarde’s memory—what becomes of the shield-bearer when his cause turns inward, when the protector becomes the fracture. The walls whisper his name at midnight, and in their echoes, the city remembers what it lost in trust.       jailed in Prison   Former high ranking member of the high guard.   After Sir Nikolas Heartstring was fired for the death of Ruby Skytracer. Hector Skytracer promoted Sir Morokin to captain.   Nikolas left and Morokin killed Hector. Orion held his father as he died.   Morokin arrested.   Built the Wicker Man.
