Orich Frigidbeard

A strong, old dwarf with history etched behind him. Orich is famed among his kin while being despised by the gaulan factions of the North. Jarl Chief Orich Frigidbeard began a campaign that would last through five Northern Wars and culminate in him securing the Bërg Verki, an ancestral settlement that both the Yergrallfe and Hovikön claim as their own. When the Yergralffe and the Felheid wrapped up a bloody conflict, he stormed in with his ice mages and battle bears to take what the Yergralffe had just won.   The Jarl Chief of the Ice Dwarves and the Jaagr of the Yergs have been fighting for a generation at this point. With wars against the Zoans, the Frelheid and the Tundran Varks, Orich has made many enemeies in his pursuits.   His people were held to a small piece of land on the Bay of Hima and gaulan fishing was overtaking what the dwarves could manage from their one small dock. They gathered their forces and began to spread southward into Valhedge on their way to Harfjörd. Slowly but surely, the dwarven way, they took town after town as the first of the Northern Wars commenced.   The Yergralffe and their leader, the great Jaagr were already unhappy with the mainland and its royal houses but the final straw of disrespect was when the Highking finally took a side, it was to appease the bountiful Dwarven Viscourt of the mainland Gaul and side with their cousin, the Hovikön.   Orich saw this as the natural decision as Harfjörd, now named Oriclan was home to the most bountiful fishing pools the world has ever seen. Even the fishing route of Echose paled in comparison and the House of Boggan paid a premium to fish the Ice Dwarf waters. When a mediation was called to end the Fifth Northern War, the House of Verki was pushed back to their secondary hold and the Bërg Verki was deemed to be historically the ancestral home of the Ice Dwarves.   This decision left a rift in the north as the Yergrallfe were both slighted and tired from decades of war, they returned to their new borders but with a fire lit that the Mainland could not have anticipated.   Orich continues sending his Viscount to Skygarde to negotiate new fhsing deals amongst the Skytracer nobles. He sits comfortable but alone in his ice hall of old, with guards constantly monitoring him as the threat of an assassin is always on his old weary mind.
