Nightshade
The vespin elf known as Nightshade set his sights on disrupting the most recent Conveyance of the Green in the year 5E 187. He was an outsider amongst the wood elves as he was born with the Lifebane curse where grass would wilt in his presence and flowers would recede their bloom as he wandered through the Incantum Forest.
Nightshade was invited to join the Children of Winter, a cult led by the vampire Crios Winterblood. The dark being gave Nightshade a poisn strong enough to kill the Cathedral Treants as they neared the end of their 3500 year cycle.
Moving through the shadiest canopies of Eleyond and the Botanoran, Nightshade tracked down and stabbed Yewclaw, the Shepherd of the White Herd, as the bestial being of bark and bite made its way to the final resting place of the Cathedral Treants. Yewclaw died slowly, as did the power of Kishar that had been giving to them thirty five hundered years previous. Nightshade fled as the Courtships of the various wood elves tried to save the great guardian, alas it was a small treecreeper bird who landed on the wolf-like treant and absorbed the last of its power, keeping the title alive without Nightshade knowing he failed.
Nightshade was stopped in his goals by the leaders of the different elf groups, with them succeeding in saving the Greendreamer, the last Cathedral Treant to rest and who transfers the titles to the next generation. This deadly event also led to the Summer of Smoke within the Incantum Forest as Nightshade set Eleyond aflame with a deadly fire that would take the lives of many elves and burn through the whole season.
